Healthcare in Karadeniz Ereğli since 2009

Private Ereğli Akademi Hospital opened in 2009 to meet the region’s healthcare needs. It brings outpatient clinics, diagnostics, surgery, inpatient care, intensive care and a 24/7 Emergency Department together in one hospital.

Our aim is to provide accessible, safe and respectful care through multidisciplinary teams and continuously improving clinical processes.

Applications are assessed according to current staffing needs, professional qualifications, experience and the hospital’s patient-safety principles.

Visitor and companion policy

  • General inpatient visiting hours are 10:00–22:00; clinical restrictions may apply.
  • Intensive-care visits are organised by the responsible unit according to the patient’s condition.
  • Only parents are admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, subject to the unit’s current rules.
  • Visitors must follow hand-hygiene, infection-control and staff instructions.

Patient rights and responsibilities

  • Receive care without discrimination and with respect for dignity and privacy.
  • Be informed about diagnosis, treatment options, benefits and risks in understandable language.
  • Give or withhold consent within the limits of applicable law and emergency care.
