Healthcare in Karadeniz Ereğli since 2009
Private Ereğli Akademi Hospital opened in 2009 to meet the region’s healthcare needs. It brings outpatient clinics, diagnostics, surgery, inpatient care, intensive care and a 24/7 Emergency Department together in one hospital.
Our aim is to provide accessible, safe and respectful care through multidisciplinary teams and continuously improving clinical processes.

Visitor and companion policy
- General inpatient visiting hours are 10:00–22:00; clinical restrictions may apply.
- Intensive-care visits are organised by the responsible unit according to the patient’s condition.
- Only parents are admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, subject to the unit’s current rules.
- Visitors must follow hand-hygiene, infection-control and staff instructions.

- Receive care without discrimination and with respect for dignity and privacy.
- Be informed about diagnosis, treatment options, benefits and risks in understandable language.
- Give or withhold consent within the limits of applicable law and emergency care.
